Afternoon Music at Wethersfield
Wethersfield Presents: Violin and Vistas, an intimate afternoon concert series of classical music in the breathtaking setting of the Wethersfield Estate and Gardens. This series of five concerts will feature a classical music program curated and performed by concert violinist in residence, Akiko Kamigawara.
Plan your day at Wethersfield now. Enjoy the sounds of music wafting on the breeze as you explore the inner garden. Sit on the Orange Blossom Terrace and take in the spectacular views of Dutchess County as you listen. About Akiko Kamigawara:
Akiko Kamigawara is a classical violinist. Born in Tokyo, she has studied and performed as a soloist throughout Europe, and has received prizes at national and international competitions. She started her NY career in 2014, playing J.S. Bach’s solo violin works on the streets of Woodstock, NY. She has since been performing throughout the Hudson Valley and in 2018 she became a faculty member at the Music Department of SUNY Dutchess. In her spare time, Akiko manages the NYC-based Brooklyn Math Tutors, and enjoys taking long walks through the Wethersfield garden.
